Foundation tensioning is one of the most complex tightening operations in a wind turbine assembly project.

Aspects such as dirt, misalignments, rust, elongation control, oil return speed…makes difficult the bolt tightening, and can cause assembly errors.
This family of tensioners are designed to facilitate foundation tightening.
Safety is another aspect that should be not neglected. We have included safety features commonly used by Texas Controls in other series of tensioners.

The PD Range of Tensioners was designed with an idea in mind: bring to the classical foundation tensioners, the best features of the blade tensioners, but for high bolt protrusion distances.

The BR Range of Tensioners was designed to suit the classical foundation application: High bolt protrusion and reduced space.
The BR-W range it is designed to suit Williams rebar applications.
Short Stroke and long Stroke models are available.

While maintaining the main features of our PD series, the BR Series is an open version for through bolt application, such as Williams 75 and 150 ksi, metric or any other bolt type used in foundation applications.
Our BR Series, unlike other through bolt applications, respect the speed requirements such as oil and stroke return thanks to its unique Belleville spring return system, its heavy duty nut rotating gear box, or its slim design and high load capacity.

  • Max. working pressure 1.350 / 1.500 bar
  • Max. stroke 10 – 20 mm
  • High pressure quick connect couplings, with no o-rings needed, ensure better performance.
