NRG lattice booms can be purchased as a single boom or as a pair of booms with a fixed angular orientation between them (either 120 degrees or 180 degrees). Versatile tower mounting hardware facilitates secure alignment on the tower and allows the boom to be pivoted downward next to the tower for convenient sensor maintenance. The robust, dual-beam support structure is made from galvanized steel to resist corrosion.

Three configurations mount a NRG 40C Anemometer, NRG 40H Anemometer, NRG 200P Wind Vane, or WindSensor P2546-OPR Anemometer right out of the box (#7372, #7373, #7374). The remaining three configurations mount any WindSensor P2546-OPR Anemometer (#9334, #9335, #9336). To mount a Thies First Class Advanced Anemometer, add a Thies Adapter (#9344) to any WindSensor-compatible boom.

Mounting Boom, 2.4m (95”)

The 2.4m Lattice Mounting Boom mounts sensors on third-party lattice towers to minimize tower-induced flow distortions. The sensor extension mounts anemometers and wind vanes at a minimum of 20 boom diameters above the horizontal arm, which meets industry IEC 61400-12-1:2017 recommendations for tower and boom offset distances.
Mounting: Attach to tower with stainless steel hose clamps.
Tower compatibility: Lattice towers with face width betweem 305 mm (12”) and 610 mm (24”). Tube diameter of 38 mm (1.5”).
Material: Galvanized steel
Sensor compatibility:
· Part number 7372: Single horizontal boom. Mounts any of NRG anemometers or vanes.
· Part number 7373: Double boom arrangement. Mounts any pair of NRG anemometers and/or vanes , with 180°orientation between them.
· Part number 7374: Double boom arrangement. Mounts any pair of NRG anemometers and/or vanes, with 120° orientation between them.
· Part number 9334: Single horizontal boom. Mounts any of WindSensor P2546-OPR, Thies FCA anemometers (Thies FCA must also use one Thies Adapter #9344).
· Part number 9335: Double boom arrangement. Mounts any pair of WindSensor P2546-OPR, Thies FCA anemometers (Thies FCA must also use one Thies Adapter #9344)., with 180°orientation between them.
· Part number 9336: Double boom arrangement. Mounts any pair of WindSensor P2546-OPR, Thies FCA anemometers (Thies FCA must also use one Thies Adapter #9344)., with 120°orientation between them.

Mounting Boom, 2.87m (113”)

The longest length boom that we offer, the 2.87m Lattice Boom meets or exceeds industry IEC 61400-12-1 recommendations for tower and boom offset distances. This boom cannot be shipped via UPS due to its length.
The horizontal boom arm is made from galvanized steel to resist corrosion. This heavy duty boom comes with mounting plates and u-bolts to attach the boom to the tower and uses our 16” stub mast for sensor mounting.
This boom can mount one NRG Class 1 Anemometer, NRG 40C Anemometer, NRG 40H Anemometer, or NRG 200P / 200M Wind Vane on lattice towers with 3.81cm (1.5″) diameter tube right out of the box.
Tower compatibility: Lattice towers with 3.81 cm (1.5”) diameter tube
Weight: 5.4 kg (11.8 pounds)
Material: Galvanized steel

Mounting Boom, 1.93m (76”)

These heavy-duty mounting booms are designed specifically for mounting the NRG IceFree3 Heated Anemometer and NRG IceFree3 Heated Vane on third-party lattice towers in icing environments. It is also compatible with the RM Young 27106T Vertical Anemometer. Mounting plates and u-bolts attach the boom to any industry-standard lattice tower, and a vertical stub mast is included for mounting IceFree3 sensors right out-of-the box.
Tower compatibility: Lattice towers with face width between 285.75 mm (11.25”) and 425.45 mm (16.75”)
Material: Galvanized steel
Sensor compatibility: NRG Icefree3 sensors. RM Young 27106T vertical anemometer.
