Texas Controls offers a complete range of on-site machining equipment. Our equipment is mainly for flange, bolt and piping oriented machining needs, offering innovative and portable tools for cutting and beveling, bore, grind, mill, shaft and tube prep, bolt removal, and all kind of sealing surface facing needs.

The range of clamshells are highly portable split frame lathes ideally suited for machining applications within new construction, decommissioning, component replacement, fabrication and refurbishment industries.

The machines are engineered to cut, bevel, counterbore, single point and flange face on pipe and tubing ranging from 0.84 in. (21.34 mm) to 177 in. (4495.8 mm) on all types of materials and wall thicknesses. With six distinct series of machines, an array of accessories and many drive options, there is an ideal configuration to meet most any on-site machining application.

The range of machines represents the world’s most advanced technology for on-site boring capability, incorporating leading engineering and cutting edge features for safe, reliable and accurate cutting. The series (formerly known as the Boremaster series) is comprised of six machines that cover an impressive 1.5″ to 64”(38mm-1625.6mm) diameter boring range standard with up to 96” (2438mm) optional. The assortment includes both push-pull and screw driven feed types. These two styles cover an expanded range of on-site boring applications including mining and construction equipment, turbine machinery, hydroelectric power and ship building.

The “3 Axis” Portable Milling Machine is our most versatile and accurate milling tool, capable of traveling and machining in all axis (XYZ).3 Axis is ideal for onsite machining large and small rectangular areas accurately. This portable mill can be clamped or bolted directly onto the part being machined or fabricated. Setup jigs and parallel-mounting fixtures can be used to position it in difficult work area conditions. Any machinist familiar with machining practices will find the 3 Axis simple to setup and operate, even upside down.

This tool is designed for rugged onsite machining e.g. milling, drilling and boring applications on jobs previously thought to be impossible without extensive disassembly. The precision ground dovetails with adjustable gibs, to provide smooth, accurate travel in all axis.

When used as a facing mill, this milling machine tool will quickly face off pitted or misaligned surfaces, restoring the original condition of the part being machined. Servo power feeds are available for all axis, allowing the application of smooth and consistent power feed throughout the speed range, going forwards and in reverse.

The Mini-Mill is capable of travelling and machining in all axes (XYZ). The lightweight, economical and highly portable Mini-Mill is ideal for onsite machining small areas accurately.

The Mini-Mill can be clamped or bolted directly onto the part being machined or fabricated. Setup jigs and parallel-mounting fixtures can be used to position it for difficult work area conditions. Any machinist familiar with machining practices will find the Mini-Mill simple to set up and operate, even upside down. The Mini-Mill has 4″ of “X” travel, 3″ of “Y” travel and 2″ of “Z” travel and accepts end mill shanks of 3/4″ diameter.

The air motor powered Mini-Mill is designed for rugged onsite machining such as milling, drilling and boring applications on jobs previously thought to be impossible without extensive disassembly. The adjustable gibs provide smooth, accurate travel in all axes.

The mounting brackets consist of three major pieces for secure and flexible mounting. The Mini-Mill’s product kit components include the complete machine with an air motor, air caddy, deadman handle, tool kit, and storage box. Portable, economical and powerful, the Mini-Mill can be customised for a variety of applications

At Texas Controls, we are totally focused on providing a superior range of flange facers and end prepping machines to meet your every requirement.

Our uncompromising approach to quality means that our on-site machining range remains the perfect choice for any task, from re-facing, milling and bevelling, to squaring, counter-boring and end prepping configurations for welding.

Unrivalled ease of use

As you’d expect from a name with a global reputation for machining innovation, we have recently expanded the Hydratight range to cover numerous applications and locations, with one common denominator: high efficiency operation combined with equally high specification and an unrivalled ease of use.

Setting international standards

Our global machining experience in providing world class bolted joint solutions and setting international standards in joint integrity means that we’re better placed to meet your needs. When it comes to specifying rugged flange facers that are innovative in design and yet perfectly simple to set up and operate, nothing comes close to the Hydratight range.

Rigorously tested for proven performance

Naturally, all our flange facers have been meticulously tested to the very highest standards and used throughout the world. Durable and remarkably lightweight, they display a compactness of design which makes them adaptable to even the most restricted operating conditions.

No power supply?
 No room for a compressor?
 No problem.

The ultra-portable, hand powered QuickFace tool makes even the hardest to reach pipe flanges accessible in a safe and convenient way.

QuickFace makes refacing easy

Every day we’re presented with hundreds of situations where flanges that need to be refaced are in awkward or even dangerous locations. Pipes can be located at the top of a refinery installation or miles away from the nearest power line, without room to move.

Engineers can rely on all the accuracy and performance of Hydratight’s bigger air and electric powered tools in a lightweight and extremely portable format. A simple and cost effective solution with hi-tech design, the QuickFace turns a two man operation with heavy equipment, compressors and portable generators into a one man job.

Light on weight, not on features

The QuickFace tool itself weighs only 6.8kg (15lbs), which means it’s easy to carry, yet can still reface flange surfaces on pipes from 25.4mm (1in) up to 152.4mm (6in) with ease. As you’d expect from Hydratight, pared down weight means no loss of performance. The system has interchangeable lead screws that make it suitable for resurfacing damaged raised-face or lens-ring joint flanges to the high safety standards required.

Plus QuickFace operation couldn’t be simpler; after selecting the correct lead screw for the operation, the tool body is inserted in the pipe end and centres itself with adjustable locators to provide truly concentric operation.
The tool arm is then rotated by hand using a worm-gear mechanism to provide a perfect spiral “gramophone” finish. The tool can be adjusted with a calibrated slide to define cut depth and the correct finish.

Small and portable enough to be a permanent addition to your equipment range, the QuickFace is the perfect solution to all of your small diameter facing problems.
